Hi Dave

read an article of yours (bnb sep 2001)about big tailor. 2 questions for you

1 -gemini breakout sinkers -local supplier?

2- how did you make that sinker with the hook on top of it. I have tried a few ways but no good or can u buy them somewhere these days

I'm not sure who stocks Gemini Breakout sinkers - your best bet would be to ring the manufacturers and ask who stocks them in Qld -

I make my own casting sinkers - I use a piece of coat hanger wire and have drilled out the hole in my sinker mould to take the thicker wire.

I put a tight loop in the wire then lay this in the mould.
I shape the hook end after the sinker has cooled.
The mould I use is a modified snapper lead shape.
I don't know anyone that makes these commercially - perhaps someone like Dizzy Tackle at Iluka or some other sinker maker could be talked into producing them for commercial sale.
