g'day all.I have just bought a Daiwa 450H reel, and am now looking for a rod to go with it.I will be using 30lb line, and fishing from breakwaters and jetties for rays and small(?) sharks and the like.Could anyone point me in the right direction as to rod length, brands etc.
budget is in the vicinity of $250.
thanx in advance. ;)

Hi,
check out the live fibre range put out by Wilson Tackle.
As a casting rod, the 10' 10/15 kg is brilliant. I have made one for myself to use with a shimano trinidad 30.
The cost of the wilson one would be around the money.
Cheers

The Wilson Live Fibre "Classic M10" is a good match up for that reel. I hope you don't intend casting it far as the reel is not really designed for that.

thanx for your idea's guys.no real intention on trying to cast it clutter, more in mind to float / balloon out a slab or livie.maybe just a gentle 20 yard lob off the breakwater into the shipping channel into 60 feet of water.cheers once again ;)
