I was fishing at Hawkesbury / Broken Bay and was using my favourite combo which is a Shimano Corsair 300 on a Berkley BUMP tournament series rod..spooled with KOKODA gel spun line of 8lb.......

I was fishing at night and my target species was school jewies.....when I felt a very strange pull on the line..much like a bag hanging from the end of the line..I gave some slack to the fish and the pull was becoming heavier and heavier as I gave in to the fish...finally I pulled as hard as I could....and the result was a 3kg hairtail...which was to my surprise...this is the first haritail..I have ever caught.
